My husband sponsored me in July 2009 and until now neither my husband or I got anything back except for a letter saying that the application is being processed which we recieved ages ago and online it says that its beeing processed for both of us which didnt change for a long time and Im starting to worry now please any Idea on why its taking so long we also passed the processing time indicated on CIC website which is 19 for both of the steps in the process also I never manage to speak to some one from the call center to see whats going on.
Is that normal??how much more time?
Please help?

inland applications - first phase approval are taking a very long time. How much more time... several months by the time they approve phase one and then move the file to the country you applied from.

For inland application, the first phase of processing takes approximately 9 months if there are no complications with the file. Since yours is taking significantly longer, you should assume there are some kind of issues with your application.
If I were in your shoes, I would send a case specific inquiry via email to the CIC to find out what is going on. At this point your husband could also ask for help from his MP to find out why processing is taking so long in your case. You could also request your CAIPS notes.
