I would like to know if it is easier to apply for a single or multiple entry visa?

Hi Brenda,

It all depends on your necessities.

Basically, if you are applying for first time, and your marital status is Single, go for Single entry visa and it has more chances to get visa.

Multiple entry visa on the other hand doesnt provide much flexibility. Every 6 months you have to cross the boarder or go back to your home country. Some times they give you 1 year multiple entry visa which is of no use. The fee is double than Single entry visa.

If you come on single entry visa and would like to extend your stay, you can and until you hear back from CIC your stay is legal.

Hope this will shade some lights and help a little in taking decision.

Bear in mind that extending visa might take 6 months before you get the new one.
