Dear Sir,
I have filed my immigration application papers in 2004 and the status application date shows 24th sep 2004. Subsequently in 2009 I updated my application with inclusion of my daugter and husband for immigration. it has been 7th year now, i have not heard anything from the immigration authorities. Can you please let me know what could be the reason for the delay and how long it would take before i really get immigration visa.

and because you have applied under the old rules, which means there is absolutely no way to predict how long it is going to take.
IF you qualify under the new system and rules, I would consider withdrawing your application and re-applying. Otherwise your only option is to wait.
