Does a citizenship application have any bearing on a spousal sponsorship. They are both going at the same time. Will the delay in sponsorship delay the Spousal Application process. A residence questionaire was given since the test. I know I met residence requirements but was sent to the officer because I did not have my previous passport which was cancelled before I migrated to Canada & I never took with me to Canada in the first place.

I meant will a delay in the citizenship application result in a delay in the spousal sponsorship?

Technically no.
Now, if for some reason your file is under investigation due to........ then yes, that will create a kink in the process.
