Subject: live- in caregiver with a child accompaning her
  Hello,

I am in need of a live-in caregiver for my too kids and want to sponser my sister from India as a live-in cargiver for them. But she has a 2 yr old kid...i want to know if she can bring her son along with her if she comes on a nanny visa? She has already completed a full time six months course in this field and and can also show her experience working there at a day care.
If i get apositive LMO ahat are the chances that she can get the workpermit?
Please advise

Sama,

The chances are very slim, she fits on regulation 179 unless there are enough ties to her home country that will convince the officer that she will indeed leave Canada at the end of the authotized period.

Read page 8 of the OP11 manual.

Regarding the LMO that is a tough one. Hard to justify.

Hi DocD,

Thanks for your reply. She is now already in canada on a visitor visa for six months and want to work under the live-in caregiver programme. Is it possible if someone else sponsers her ? I heard the process is easier if you are already in canada. Could you please share your knowledge on this. Thanks
