Subject: Extra charge made on Application Fee???
Hello. Would anyone know why CIO(?) charged a little more than what was declared on our Payment Form (USD550x2=1100)? We asked our bank and confirmed with us that they got nothing to do with that particular account (they did charge a separate international fee though...) What could be that extra charge? Also, if we bought Money Order to pay the Application fee, how would that affect our application later? Remember, if it´s Money Order you buy the exact amt and definitely, there´s no buffer funds to calculate any possible additional charges? Anyone pls.... Thanks.

You need to give us way more information if anyone is going to be able to help.

How much were you actually charged?
How much do you think you should have been charged?
What kind of application was this for?
How many people are on the application?
Which fees did you intend to pay?

reply on quiry for extra charge made (in reply to: Extra charge made on Application Fee???)
IMMIGRATION CANADA FSW SYDNEY CD - party who withdrew money from our acct

How much were you actually charged? USD$1131.81 (what´s the USD 31.81 for?)
How much do you think you should have been charged? USD1100.00 (USD550 x 2)
What kind of application was this for? Federal Skilled Worker
How many people are on the application? two (2)
Which fees did you intend to pay? application fee for FSW

If there´s any oversight on our part that we didn´t take into consideration, probably, this settles the add´l charge. We´re curious to know as it doesn´t make sense to confirm in writing (w/ the use of a Payment Form) the exact amt we need to pay as against if we opted to buy Money Order perhaps bec you buy it in exact amount.
Appreciate anyone´s input. Thank you

The fees are all Canadian dollar amounts - not US.

As you´re probably aware, the Canadian dollar has been higher than the US dollar on many occasions over the last few months.

The fees you needed to pay totaled $1100 Canadian. And it cost $1131.81 US to buy $1100 Canadian that day because the C$ was higher than the US$. So the difference you paid was the exchange rate.
