Subject: Dual or triple intent
Hello. I applied for refugee status at the embassy in my country and was kindly refused, because supposedly my country is democratic and doing something to crack on thieves and kidnappers.
A friend now recommends me to try to go and study for 2 years then get a work permit and apply after working one year for permanent resident. I have two teenage children and by selling my house I can get money for studies and living very frugally. Will it hurt my chances because I applied for refugee before? I just want(ed) to be truthful, now I know I made a mistake. Please advise

Yes - your rejected refugee application may make it difficult to obtain a study permit. To obtain a study permit, you must demonstrate that you do not plan to remain in Canada permanently and will return home after your studies have been completed. The fact that you previously attempted to establish Canada as your home will make this difficult to prove. Additionally, the fact that you´re selling your house will complicate this situation further because this does not demonstrate that you have strong ties to your home country.

If you have fear of persecution in your country , you can go to United Nation office in your country and submit the refugee protection application, they will look into your case and if you are really facing any kind of persecution in your democratic country, they will help you to get out of your country. there is no guarantee that they will send you here in Canada. May they send you somewhere else , where your life will be safe. Your intention is to save your life!

My friend is telling me to apply for canadian experience class. The whole point would be immigrating to Canada legally. I donīt understand this double standard, to try to come as a student with that purpose in mind but I have to lie and tell them I would go back? Why, could you please explain? I am confused...
