I want to know if I can voluntary leave Canada. I have been in Canada since august 28th 2010 and was going to leave by Feb 24th which is exactly 6 months, I applied for a 3 month extension on Jan 20th to stay until may the 20th but they returned a letter saying I have to leave by April 19th? I am staying with my wife and moving around Canada she needs my help with many tasks Driving moving her belongings etc. etc.but only till mid may then I would be happy to return to the U.K. I can only assume that Canadian Immigration gave me 3 months from the time I applied which was Jan 20th but I still had over 30 days left on my 6 months in my passport. Now I feel I should just stay until may and leave voluntary.
