Subject: complicated??!!!
my husband filed for the immigration from egypt before we get married and he did the medical and everything before getting married, he got the approval and the visa after marriage, but there was not time to change the marital status since he was traveling a lot in his work, he had short time just to land before the visa get expereid cuz he got the approval almost 6 month from the medical, i remember he even had hard time to get a 10 days vacation from work to do the landing
and between his work and my pregnancy, the new baby and moving to UAE, Dubai we got to busy even to think about it till he got this great job opportunity in canada
i do not know how it will go now for sponsering us, would it be a complicated case?!!
thanks

Since he has a good job offer in Canada it shouldn´t be a problem. He will sponsor you under family class with a dependant child. Only condition for him is his income. He must make 38K to sponsor you and your newly born baby. If you didn´t have the baby then he don´t have to show the income.

He must be in Canada to sponsor you.

Actually because he was married after submitting his application but before landing and did not inform the visa office processing his PR application...it probably will complicated when he goes to sponsor you as he shouldn´t have landed in Canada without first informing CIC about the change in his marital status and family composition.

If it is possible, I would definitely enlist the aid of a immigration lawyer/consulant as they will be the best person to aid you in your case.

As for what Moe mentioned about the financial requirements, I know that there are strict financial requirements the sponsor must meet if you are immigrating to Quebec. In regards to the rest of the country, I´m not entirely sure what requirements your husband will have to meet. I know that when just a spouse is being sponsored they pretty much don´t require the sponsors to meet any sort of minimum income requirement...but since a child is also involved, they may look closer at the sponsors´ income.

I know many that have landed in Canada after they got married and never informed the visa office. They can come up with any reason (they were afraid about the further delay, I was travelling, didn´t plan to get married, etc.)

I know about the requirement with the kid and I even know a person who was in exactly same situation. As said before, all he has to do now is to show that he could financial support his family.

Take Care
