| Subject: spousal sponsorship responsibilities |

Hi all,
I sponsored my common law and she became a PR in 2009. We recently split up and because I´m a full time student and she is unemployed, she started to receive welfare payments. I know I´m responsible for her financially. Does anyone know how this will effect me? Will I receive a letter from CIC stating that I will have to reimburse them? I also have a pending Citizenship application!!! Will this effect the Citizenship application as well?
