Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area. My question is this,
How do I go about filing a formal complaint about a CBSA guard at the Whirlpool Bridge. I had a very rude guard at 1525 hours on 27th April, 2011. No one should be threatened with the loss of their NEXUS card because they misunderstood the CBSA guard´s question. I was returning back to Canada after a few hours shopping and dining in NY. My colleague and I were asked if I/we had a declaration to which I said no, I´ve never had one. I thought the CBSA guard was asking if I had a paper declaration. I fully disclosed everything I was bringing back into Canada, and apologized for the misunderstanding. Her response was " No sorry, I´ll just take your card away next time." Thanks for any ideas.

(in reply to: NEXUS crossing back into Canada Whirlpool Bridge) Try their main line 1-800-461-9999 or try 905-354-5088
It would be best to get some e-mail address to complain in writing because then emotions can be better controlled.

(in reply to: NEXUS crossing back into Canada Whirlpool Bridge) My experience with a Nexus card is that you treat it like gold, and make sure you do everything you can not to screw it up - or they simply take it away and you never get one again.
Yes, sometimes they are jerks and ask questions in a way that are confusing and yes, they should not be rude but be really careful how pushy you are with your complaint. You may make your point but be minus a Nexus Card.
what´s it worth to you?

(in reply to: NEXUS crossing back into Canada Whirlpool Bridge) I´ve had a Nexus card for years. I have to agree with Sharon.
It´s a zero tolerance policy and they make this abundantly clear when you apply. I don´t think a complaint will get you anywhere regardless of how the IO behaved.
I would drop it.
