I am planning to bring my brother to canada as an international student. couple of years ago ( he was 21 back then ) he got caught by police backhome when he is at the party smoking weed.. ( no possession , jut caught smoking ) . but they put criminal charges on him ( i am not sure about the rules back there so brother says if he applys for criminal record it will show that he has criminal charge) . i am not sure how serious is this in canadian law ? will he ever be able to come here as a student ?? i am very confused and worried. i also have applied him as my parents dependant child when i submitted my parents immigration paper 3 years ago ( still in process ) will this criminal charge effect his immigration paper ??
