I have a son born On Jan 2005 we made our landings 2 years before. we will return back to settle in Oakville, ON. my son will start grade 2 on September 2011 here in Kuwait. We will not be able to return to Canada before February 2012. i know that he will join the school on Canada on February in grade 2, but what will happen later in September 2012 will he be again in grade 2 as it´s his age or will be placed in grade 3 as he already would have attended the previous half year in grade 2 in Canada.

it´s going to depend on how mature your child is and whether he has mastered the course materials so he can be placed in grade 3. Most important will be his social development and often kids need a chance to catch up to what is going on around them. Trust the educators to assist you.
