I claimed for refugee protection and got denied and my appeal as well.. I atteneded the PRRA interview today at the airport road and gave me a PRRA application.
My wife is sponsoring me within a week, reason of delay is because we are trying our best to gather proper documents to show our relationship is genuine.. So the question is if I file my sponsorship application before my deporation.. would that defer my removal ?
and to be honest I have a big feeling that my PRRA is going to get rejeceted.

The answer to your question can not be clear unless we know your country of nationality. Plus what your claim to refugee protection was based on.

You seem to be making all the wrong decisions.

First all you had no appeal! Your claim was refused probably for lack of credability because your story was not logical. Than a Lawyer convinced you with out clearly explaining what needed to be proven to get an appeal allowed.

See your Lawyer applied for LEAVE to appeal. aka Permission to appeal.

Now the issue is can your removal be delayed enough to get Vegreville CPC to actually look at an In-Canada spousal sponsorship application?

Well that depends on the above factors and who is creating your PRRA submissions. Country of Nationailty and basis for claim.

I think the reason you think so strongly about your PRRA being rejected is that there was little if any basis for the original claim.

Well at least you met a lovely person.

Seek out quality advice before taking the next wrong step.

Ok, you know that you don´t have a creditable story and your PRRA isn´t going to fly. Reagardless what your nationality is.

Your nationality didn´t help in your previous claim, why would it in the PRRA?

Submiting a family class application will not prevent your removal. This is the reason, a removal order is going to be issued way before your spousal application issues a deferal of your deportation.

Timing isn´t going to work, very unlikely.

You should leave the country and apply from abroad instead of applying from in-land.

Your so gentle with your comment but you are correct basically.

The odds of winning a PRRA is very very low but I have kept some who submitted PRRA´s in Canada for several years. They are much faster at getting them through the process now with the new Refugee Appeal Division starting up.

You can still submit a PRRA and then withdraw same and tell CBSA that you now wish to leave. Or you can get on a plane right now which might assist any ARC application.
