Subject: Preventing government from passing a Law - CSIC
CSIC in Federal Court IMM-2244-11 today @ 09:30 Vancouver time trying to prevent legislative process removing CSIC as Consultants regulator.

What is funny is that CSIC claim they are protecting the consumer but no discipline hearings were held until 2010 or there abouts.

Could their claim to being a good guy be too late?

CSIC stands for consumer protection (in reply to: Preventing government from passing a Law - CSIC)
CSIC is committed to consumer protection and has a sophisticated complaints and discipline process that has a proven track record of holding members accountable to its rules. A quick look at CSIC’s latest Annual Report proves this point. CSIC’s independent Discipline Council was formed late in 2006 and decisions were first issued in the 2007-2008 fiscal year. Please get your facts right Roy.

Could this be an In House CSIC Council becoming an Internet TROLL. Well lets look at the facts shall we?

CSIC was created in 2004 and decisions were not issued according to you until 2007 -2008 hmmm is that two years or (_____) years?

https://www.csic-scci.ca/content/Tribunal_decisions

Radmilla Lim is the earliest on listed and she has her decision listed as January 4th 2008.

Now the Toronto Star did an expose "Lost in Migration" and I was one of the CSIC members CONTACTED who said "go home you don´t stand a chance"! Nobody in my office got it wrong by recommending a spurious refugee claim. http://www.thestar.com/News/article/226208

Does not make it that I´m a good guy or got my facts wrong!

Now Yolanda Simao was April 2nd 2008

Then five others has discipline hearings (decisions) rendered in 2010 and one is 2011.

I stand corrected (there about´s) does show that my facts were slightly incorrect. What I should say is the vast majority of discipline hearings were dealt with some six years after the creation of CSIC.

I know one particular CSIC member who a Federal Court Judge decided that they did nothing wrong but CSIC held that member accountable. Rightfully so....

Than later in the same Year at the LSUC Immigration Law Summit the LSUC used the Federal Court Judges decision to teach all Lawyers (HOW NOT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT FORMER COUNCIL) hmmm

Yes I agree CSIC has a sophisticated complaints and discipline process that....

Their good but something just happened in Federal Court about the CDC did it not? What did that judge say?

Dear Nancy

I feel the key here is your so unusual NANCY I guess I should be intimidated "Nancy 112.15.194" because your the first person in five years that have come out so strong in defense of CSIC on this forum. Plus the very first to tell me to get my facts straight!

I have been called more than a few names and told to GET A LIFE but never to get my facts straight!

Now the current government selected another regulatory body to take over supposedly. Is that not why IMM-2244-11 took place yesterday? So your assertion and CSIC´s claim of being a good guy be too little too late???? Could the complaints and discipline department done better??? At least according to the current government and the NDP as well the Liberals what´s left of them.

Will ICCRC be any better? Not with some of their proposed policies. Will I as a ICCRC member be allowed to say something negative about the new regulatory body with out having my right of free speech taken away? Or being told to get my facts straight! Maybe!

What about ICCRC allowing Immigration Consultants to call themselves EXPERTS? Should CSIC done a better job preventing those that advertise on this site (google ad´s) from calling themselves SPECIALISTS, maybe! is it not a violation to make overly BOLD statements. Can you find ten CSIC member´s who call themselves SPECIALISTS?

Would it have made a difference in the government eyes if the members were discipline earlier and it did not take several years to discipline someone? Who knows?

Docd aka CBSA and Sharon plus many more regulars here know that I am not a card carrying Conservative so I have no inside information.

What they know and all other regular readers and persons that posts here is that I as a CSIC Member have ethics!!!

What about the guy that signed here as a CSIC Member that called Sharon a B----? Or worse recommended something really wrong!

I guess you did not read that!
