Subject: Asylum
Please I want someone familiar with these issues to help me out.

1. My wife has a pending asylum case in Vancouver Canada and I and my two kids are included in the application
Ques: Can my kids attend public elementary school for free?

2. Will I be allowed to attend graduate school?

3. If I am allowed to attend graduate and finally graduate, am I able to apply for permanent residency if my wife Asylum is still pending as at the time of my graduation?

Thanks

Technically you are required a permit to attend school.

1. This is information gathered in Toronto, Ontario.

31 of the Toronto Catholic District School Board said they´d enroll kids without status while 57 (28.4%) refuse admission.

2. You need a study permit. Even in adult secondary schools in Toronto now require valid study permit from refugee claimant.

3. You are a refugee claimant included in your spouse. How are you going to apply a PR as you do not have a temporary resident status? Are you going to apply under FSW after finishing your graduate school?

Thanks very much for your reply.

1. What is FSW?

2. I understand that I will need a study permit like others to study, I was wondering if I will be issued a study permit for a PhD admission, as I already have two Masters before the asylum application.

3. The Asylum was filed in Vancouver British Columbia.

Thanks for your time.

Thanks very much for the response.

Yes I understand that I am going to pay my way through the PhD program. I do not take offense with that. Infact at that level of education it is expected that you should be able to work your way through it without any kind of government or municipal support system.

My question was that, if it is possible that I get issued a study permit for a PhD program that last 3-4 years to complete understanding that pending asylum is full of uncertainty.
