Subject: need help please!!!!!!
hi everyone, I am new, was wonderring if anyone could advise me on some question regarding visa required documents???:

I´m going to travel Canada for a short time, but while checking the list of required documents for a temporary resident I encounterred:

"Photocopy of your valid return ticket and/or travel itinerary, if applicable".

So may I not buy ticket beforehand as it´s not 100% warrantied that I will be granted a visa, I dont want to waste any additional fees on ticket because one round trip ticket costs me about 1800$USD???

what do you think that will have any impact on my visa applications?? greatly appreciate your comments? thanks in advance!

Hi There, I asked this very same question on another board the other day. But after looking at the statement, it really isn´t necessary to purchase a return ticket. It says "if applicable" meaning, if you have it...

My thinking process was that it MAY help the case if you have a return ticket, but any person who has ever purchased a plane ticket before knwos you can cancel it, or change the date.. So I´m sure the canadian visa officers aren´t oblivious to this.

I say apply without your return ticket. If at all possible to get a ticket that is fully refundable then definitely do that...but if not then just wait until you are accepted.

Goodluck!

thanks for clear responde dear shelly and Anonymous!

Now another things are making me think more and more:

As I know, the main requirements for being granted a visa is that "case officer have to be ensured that one will umdoubtedly leave Canada after or upon expiry of his or her visa"

To prove this applicant has to show his property or any other assets which are tought to be incentives for applicant to return to his country and leave Canada?!

Currently,
1. I´ve got a bank account statement from my accountant at the bank which shows about 23 100$ USD fund I do have.

2. I´ve my own flat in the city which legally belongs to me.

3. I´m registerred as a operator at the Computer Services Centre where I am working for 5 mounths. and not going to be fired soon.

I would be delighted if you could put your views on what kind of documents more I would be better provide to make case officer to be ensured that I will abide visa regulations and will leave Canada when my visa expires???

I Too Need Help (in reply to: need help please!!!!!!)
The application for the temporary visa and checklist indicates to only supply schedule 1 if you answered yes to one of the questions (3 to 7). Or if an officer requests to have the form.

However a Jamaican lady called me to courier the form to them in Jamaica because no application can even start to be reviewed without it. I just found out last week another person in my office had the same problem with the High Commission of Canada in Jamaica.

I know of of two or three other examples of that type of thing in the Jamaican office. In addition when I tried to explain the inconsistency and that form might not even be needed, the lady hung up on me. I am spanish and I have heard most Canadians are self centered, rude and especially dislike spanish people from Central and South America. I am nervous about going to such a country.

Disgraced: thanks a lot. You don´t even know me but I am self centered, rude and dislike Spanish people!

You are right - why would you want to come to such a country?

Disgraced....if you feel canadiens are like that then why come? You´re saying we are prejudice, and you´re not by saying most of us hate Spanish people?

May I suggest a better destination? Why not go to Texas where they actually do hate Spanish people.... And go call them racist and see what happens. Did I mention they allow guns there?

Hey Disgraced

People are people no matter what race or nationality. Most Canadians would welcome you. Rightly or wrongly Canada is one of the nations that is tighter about who they let in. That does not mean all Canadians are like that - people are people. Canada is no better or worse than any other country.

If you ever get things worked out with your visa - I welcome you to Canada - let me prove what you heard is not true for all Canadians only a few.

With regards to your paper work - that is probably just a government error - happens in every country. Just do what they ask - it may cost an extra $100 or so - but play the government game. You probably have to you in your own country and you have to when dealing with the Canadian government.

Regarding the woman who called you - she probably was having a bad day - show a little kindness and overlook her temporary blindness. If you ever get to meet her she is probably a sweet heart of a person.

what ever nationality or race you are, as far as I am concerned you are welcome.
