Tell the truth just the truth and nothing but the truth.
After that is just a waiting game. Best case scenario nothing happens.
Worse case scenario, can go basically down in two different ways.
1- You get excluded. Means you have to leave Canada and you are banned from returning to Canada for a year.
2- You are charged with misrepresentation under the report A44(1) for not disclosing relevant information in your PR application in your background declaration, then you get removed from Canada and the only way you may come back is with an authorization to return to Canada (ARC).

How should i tell them this, I mean should i prepare a letter and mail it out to them ?
Also, i was told by someone to keep my mouth shut till they ask me about this and that cic wouldn´t know since cra doesn´t share information with cic. Im dying right of stress now and i have to file my application all over again. i never thought this would lead to such extreme consequences

I would keep my mouth shut in this situation. This happened to my husband as well but now he´s a PR. You shouldn´t have worked without a work permit in the first place. now there is no point crying over spilt milk. whats done is done. either tell them what you did and face consequences stated by DocD( i was told the same, when i called cic) or keep your mouth shut and wait :)
btw you will be charged with misrepresentation , how severe I dont know, they might deport you or ban you from working for 6 months, ban you from coming back without an arc i dunno, depends on the mood of the io
