| Subject: Got a PHONE CALL frm CHC, New delhi |

My sponsorship as a spouse was applied on the 31st of December, 2004!! CIC approved my wife´s sponsorship application on 19th January, 2005. Now, today i.e 4th February, i got a phone call from the CHC, New Delhi asking me stuff , which i have already mentioned in the application. they asked me : did u get refused before on temporary visa, do u have any diability, did u send ur medicals along with the application!! now, my query is -
1. does it sound any alarm bells or is it a routine procedure conducted by them? she didnt say anything, but said that she wanted to ask me certain things! and moreseo, why would i get a call??
2. as i asked them , as to when did they send me any letter of correspondence , she answered that i was despatched on the 3rd of February, 2005. now, does it mean that it is just a letter of acnowledgement, or its to request my passport or any other documents?
can anyone enlighten on this pls!!

That is most surprising!!
I have never heard CIC call anyone directly. This is mainly for two reasons:
1. Protecting privacy of the candidate (Even though the person says she is calling from CIC - how can that be established for a fact?)
2. You as a respondent must be given some time to respond. Maybe at that time you are not thinking about application and you get a call; you may not be able to respond in best possible way.
Well wait for the letter - hopefully all would be OK. Nothing to worry about I guess...
Well in case someone else has also recieved call please mention on this forum.

i didnt get a call frm CIC, but frm the canadian high commission in New Delhi!! CIC is in Canada, but i got it frm CHC, new delhi!!! anyone with the experience, pls reply

If CIC and CHC confuses you, I doubt you can get PR as a skilled worker.
