Subject: Help needed: Which from to fill in for PR?!
  Hi,
I am a citizen of the Netherlands, currently living in Canada since April 2011.
I got married to a Canadian citizen in July and we want to apply for permanent residentship.
We were looking at the two forms: ‘Sponsorship of a spouse living IN Canada’ and ‘Sponsorship of a spouse living OUTSIDE of Canada’.
The immigration section of Canada told me that I can choose which from to fill in and send.
Now we are thinking of applying under ‘Sponsorship of a spouse living OUTSIDE of Canada’ because it goes a lot faster than inside Canada.

The thing that I am worrying about is that I have been living with my spouse since April 2011 and I am thinking of extending my stay as a visitor. So when we apply under Living Outside Canada, won’t we get any problems with the Visa office/Embassy Canada in Berlin? Won’t they ask questions why I don’t live in the Netherlands during the process of my application and why we didn’t instead apply as Sponsorship of a spouse living IN Canada?

Can anyone please advise us what the best is that we can do in our case? Apply for Sponsorship of a spouse living IN Canada or Sponsorship of a spouse living Outside of Canada??!!

I appreciate it. Thanx!

´Outside Canada (Sent to Vegreville,Alberta)´ means that you go out and get your pr visa and swim back and land as a PR. No right to appeal if refused and takes longer.

´Inside Canada(Mississauga, Ontario)´ means you stay put in Canada and land as a PR at a local immigration office. Right to appeal if denied. Faster.

Why two categories? In order to facilitate each client´s personal circumstances.

Outside Canada (Mississauga, Ontario)

Mixed and confused.

inland applications are harder because CIC would really like to discourage the practice. Tough to get someone out of the country after they are here and establish ties. Outland is clean and far less hassle from the government perspective.
