this is going to get interesting! Canadian government had so much success in locating their suspected war criminals by going public they are now looking for these folks to deport.

Remember, when other people break the rules, it makes it 3 times as hard for the good guys. These people make your processing take longer, your visitor visas denied and your sponsorship applications to be questioned.

Great title because almost all of the thirty two used to be (immigrants) permanent residents.

So we have 1,400 HARDENED CRIMINALS and only 32 have been named. So what happened to the other One Thousand, Three hundred and sixty eight?

I guess they went soggy in milk and became soft criminals since so few are named.

I wonder how many of the other 1,368 actually are on that list after being ordered deported as permanent residence then moved and missed their snail mail letter to attend their deportation appeal.

I wonder how many of the other 1,368 got deported for serious criminality than obtained a pardon for their previous crimes and their deportation is now no longer in affect.

I agree we should get rid of the worst so am I wrong to assume that only 32 are the actual hardened criminals?

Something just does not make sense.

If they were to name all 1400 criminals, I would not bother to see them all. By naming the most dangerous criminals and shortened the list, I just might scroll down the list and have a look at their faces.

I believe most of them came through the refugee program. If they tweak the program permitting application from their home country and only allow them in after proper background check has been done.... then we would not have this kind of problem. Agreed??

That's weird (in reply to: Canada's Most Wanted Immigrants)
Usully immigrants abide by the law. Born-canadianas are the ones using the system more than anybody else.

whether it is the FBI 10 most wanted or David Letterman´s top 10 list, most often I see an annual short list.

Roy, you know and I know there is more than 32 but you have to stop somewhere.

I suspect the term ´immigrant´ in the headline is a media response to the term Permanent Resident. Most people do not fully grasp what that means.

Wow... this is interesting, to say the least! Looks like Canada is growing balls under Tory leadership. I hope they make this a tradition long after the Tories leave office and expand the list constantly so they actually lower the dreadful crimes committed by the immigrants. This could help control some of the religious madness that often translates into indictable crimes.

maybe we can deport some of our Canadian born citizens while we are at it.

In all honesty, I think this move will go a long way to improve how new Canadians are viewed and accepted if trouble makers are actually kicked out when they ignore Canadian law.

A few men learned criminality here. When a man comes to Canada and becomes a criminal after arriving when he was one year old, should he be removed just because he never became a Canadian?
