The initiative has been met with applause by lawyers and immigration workers.
“The Canadian taxpayers will save a lot of money by getting these people to leave right away,” said lawyer Richard Kurland. “If they don’t leave we have to pay to carry them.”
It costs millions of dollars to “track, monitor and remove” failed claimants who may go underground and not leave, Kurland said.

Lots of professionals agree with the policy :- below are some of the reply I´ve copied from the Toronto´s Sun comments
(1) How long would one have to wait to get their plane ticket? Right away
(2) How long would one have to wait to get their 2K? $00 one suggested peanut butter sandwich only.
(3) What would happen if the bonus turns out to be .50 cents? If someone visit your home and refuse to leave, would you pay him money to leave? Deport them immediately...
Maybe Roy can suggest a better alternative???

Going at something a** backwards is idiotic.
44,000 illegals who are making far more than they ever dreamed of back home are not going to jump at the chance of a free plane ticket home.
Nothing in the statement guarantees $2,000.00 integration fund.
If the failed claimant went underground it is because of two reasons;
1. They don´t want to go home.
2. They are making money here and are happy to stay here.
DAH suggest something better
Reduce the acceptance rate of refugee claimants and the problem takes care of itself.
Like how many want to go back to Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Egypt, Guyana, Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, Syria, Libya, Oman etc.
Toronto is the haven for most of the failed refugee claimants because this is where the work is right now. It is far easier to hide in a crowd.
Read the article it supports my theory and not Richard Kurlands.
Fix the cause and the problem resolves itself.
