Subject: Change Work Permit from Common-law to Single
  Hi

How do I go about changing my work permit from common-law to single?

I was given one based on my former spouse status. We are no longer together. I need to make this change in order to apply for a TRV.

Is this possible?

What are the implications?

Thanks for your time.
Ann

your post is confusing.

if you were qualified for a work permit as a result of your partners status - you will need to re-apply on your own merits.

Thanks for your response Sharon.

May I ask what is confusing about my post?

what type of immigration were you applying under - federal skilled worker, family class sponsorship, temporary work permits -

you were given a work permit based on your former partners status - what status?

what is the purpose of the TRV?
