Subject: Can I apply for student visa in this situation
Hello, I am student from India

I was granted UK visa for 3 years in 2007 to complete my graduation. I went there and completed my 2 years and last year i could not do due to some circumstances which I told my University. My University allowed me to repeat the year. I carried on with my visa extension and i was granted visa for 1.5 years more. I was not able to pay me fees as I was showing money to the Uk border agency. Due to this My university expelled me and told that you have to go home and reapply.

My friedns scared me that I will not get visa if go back as I will be blacklisted for non payment of fees.

University sent me a letter saying they have informed UKBA and I have to leave.

To streamline the situation I went to lawyer on legal aid as i was not earning. He suggested he cant stop unless u have some other reason like asylum. Not really aware of what exactly it is I just said let it be and proceeded with asylum file. As soon as I went to UKBA office and cleared my intention of asylum, they detained me. There I found true meaning of what asylum actually is. Within 4 days I asked to withdraw it without giving full asylum interview.

Soon after that I took voluntary ticket and returned home from detention centre.

Its 8 months now and I want to complete my last remaining year and wish to apply for canada.

My question is Can I apply ? what are my chances i will be granted student visa ? O have no ties there and no intentions to stay there, just want to complete my 1 year left and maybe masters after that. I have bought land for business in India and in construction phase now, have sufficient funds, also working here and my present company has no problem writing that they are happy to take me back in organisation once I finish studies.

Also please tell me any special points i should take care of, and if UK shares information with canada ?

Thanks so much

there are enough questions on the applications forms that Canada will know what happened in the UK. I would strongly urge you not to lie - that will make it worse.

From Canada´s perspective, you are a lousy risk to not do what you say you will do. Don´t get your hopes up about a study visa.
