  My kick for the day...
Again while I´m on an endless wait to hear from CIC...

====================================================

Dudes,

Since I see some posts on booze - I´d like to know what beer is popular in Canada... Also how much does a pack of 6 set one back if you pick these at a store or a corner pub?

Maybe I ought to begin adapting myself to it... starting this evening itself... all the way through the super bowl?

I usually prefer lights... my current favorites are Budweiser, Corona, Heineken however all recommendations are welcome... :))

In Ontario booze is sold at LCBO locations, ONLY. There are also some locations called the BEER STORE. It sucks that they close early! They should sell beer in the gas stations, just in case you run short in middle of the night!

As for my favorite, I like Molson!

However, today I´m drinking Blue Moon, which they don´t have in Ontario.

Is it the same in other provinces?

Booze, booze, booze, booze, booze, booze, booze!!!!!

Beer in Ontario is expensive. Expect to pay around CAN$ 10-12 for a six pack of beer.

Cheers!

Sleeman´s is the best. Small micro brewery that makes an awesome honey brown ale. The darker the better.

I like Coors light... (in reply to: Friday Night)
I like Coors Light but I hate to buy it because it is american, not canadian. Pale Ale is good if you like strong flavor. If you go to Quebec , there are many quebecoise beer that you just can find in Quebec.
Kokanee is not bad either

if you live in the US or Europe you will be surprised at how differently alcohol is sold. In most provinces, there are stores strickly devoted to liquor sales. Most are government run. It is far more expensive than in the US because the government taxes it (and cigarettes)to death. In some locations they are open late but not everywhere. The idea of running down to the corner in the middle of the night because you are out of beer, simply does not happen here.

that is your Canadian cultural tidbit for the day. :)
