| Subject: How long takes after Approval In Principle? |

My canadian wife is sposonring me (inland). We alredy have an interview and I got Approval In Principle granted.
I´m from a Ukraine national. Never been in the military nor in any political group.
I was asked to re-do the medicals. I also submitted the police clearance from Ukraine and the digital figerprints to the RCMP.
We have been waiting for 10 months already from the time we sent the package.
I was wondering how long usually takes for the background checks to be completed and being call for the landing immigrant interview?

family class applications are 2 phase. phase 1 they approve the sponsor (which it appears has now happened) then the application goes to your country of origin for phase 2.
Waits of another year are not uncommon.
