Subject: Immigration processing time
  Dears Good Day
i have applied for canada immigration system since october 2006 and got the file number ,then on October 2010 the embassy asked for all the required documents including the IELTS test bare in mind that i got the required score ,but since then we heard nothing from their side ,we are tired of waiting,it´s been 5 years and nothing till now ,besides i have searched for my application on the immigration website to check the status of the application but i could not find my application ,although i searched before and i found the application under the status of IN Process , i am so confused ,can anyone give an advise , i am so thankful for any reply

KD is talking off the top of his head.

Applications prior to 2008 are moving very slowly because of a change in the selection rules. However, they are STILL being processed.

If you qualify under the new rules and criteria, it may be a consideration to withdraw and apply again. Oddly enough it may move faster. However, if you do not qualify - the best option is to continue waiting as you are. It´s not great, but it is the only option under the circumstances.

Hi Sharon ,what is the best that i can do to fasten the processing time ,actually i can not withdraw the current application and apply under the new rules because i should satisfy the accupation list and my accupation is not listed there , any other suggestions ,please can you give an estimation of how long would it take ,do u know real cases who applied on 2006 and got Visa to canada ?

Actually we tried the work permit or (arranged emplyment) once but it did not work ,so many faked companies and the the HRSDC is so strict in giving the approval now,anyway tanks alot for sharing you ideas ,appreciated
