Subject: Mistake in marital status of sibling
My relative received her PR card 2 years ago. But when she applied for canada immigration 2 years ago she made a mistake for her brother´s marital status in additional family information. She has 3 brothers. 2 of them are married and one is single. But when she filled the form she said all of them are married.

Now she is sponsoring her single brother. She is wondering

1) Whether the CIC will refuse her brother application because of her mistake of marital status of her brother?

2) Whether it will affect her PR status anyway? Will they deport her?

3) If she wants her parents to visit Canada, whether it will be a problem?

Thanks in advance.

I DON CARE (in reply to: Mistake in marital status of sibling)
CIC would like to know if the now single brother is indeed single from the date of your relative´s PR application.

The problem is that if the single brother sponsors one day his biological child from his former girlfriend. When someone is not forthcoming about his or her martial status and gets the PR and starts to sponsor them later, the trouble begins.

If the single brother is indeed single from the date of his sister PR application, he is still single, but he met a girl ten years ago and had a child, but didn´t declare, but wanted however, shoulda woulda coulda. WHATEVER!
