Subject: How not to list your IP address here
  Dudes,

I know the forum administrator has a funny rules of displaying IP addresses. But you can get around it. If you are at a static IP address area 0 ofcourse it will require some hopping utility which I will try and post info on soon... if my post remains (I see the one where I issued like 3 IP addresses in last 2 minutes was taken off).

On a dial-up simply hang-up and dial again. Volla!! you´d have a new IP

On a High-Speed; just access your router 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 whichever it is configured to and then RENEW connection to your provider - that is a simple click!!

Volla again you´d be a dude with a new number!!

Till the next How to.... :)

what is your point? the idea of the IP is to deter people from answering their own questions and leaving rude remarks and remaining anonymous.

What is the purpose of your evasion - to prove you can? I do not see any spirit of community or cooperation in your tactic- and after all... that is what this forum is all about.

Sharon and Yieji,

My idea is simply the idea of privacy... You know IP address is much like your telephone no. Some time and one can tell exactly where you are from.

Do you know what that means? Big brother watching over you may decide to use it or perphaps anyone.

Why does not the web-site owners use login based system. Hidden for all and can be used to check?

that is another option. I think the entire idea is to have people accountable for their comments. a login is another component to the website - maybe they simply need the time to consider it and build it.
