I will be applying for tourist visa in few days time..just few questions with urgent answers... Am based in London with British partner and baby who will not be needing visa... Can I use my partner as the sponsor of the trip? Is there any particular thing that might help my case with the immigration officer? Does my partner and the baby enough tie ...any advise will be appreciated....

no such thing as a ´sponsor of the trip´.

You can show an invitation to Canada but the bottom line is that you need sufficient money for your trip and sufficient reasons that you will return home when your visit is over. If you can address all of the above - no problems.

Thank u sharon...no one is inviting us, we want to explore Canada ourselves....can´t one go there without invitation letter? And Sharon is there a specific amount of money that I need to have in my account? I guessed they also accept hotel reservation

as a tourist, yes... assuming it is a reasonable stretch of the imagination but having a clear reason for coming to Canada can often improve the chances, especially if you are short of money or you might be considered a high risk for not going home.
