Roy, you are asking me to open my heart?

Well, my heart is wide open, almost like an ocean of warm and fuzzy feelings with red hearts floating around, blue skies and rainbows everywhere.

The problem is that the law isn´t. I really, really would like to hear how a person who is in his current situtation, will avoid to be removed from Canada at this point?

Trying to defer his removal due to an in-land application in? It is November 3rd, 2011! It is kind of later isn´t it?

Good luck with that.

His chances are slim to none at this point. I stick to my original post, which I personally think would be faster, quicker and safer and nevertheless....cheaper!

Withdraw the in-land application, leave the country and get him to apply from outside of Canada.

when we went to the interview where the PRRA was offered, we told the cbsa officer about the sponsorship application and gave him a copy of everything. up to that point, we didn´t have a lawyer, we got one after that so that he could do the rest of the PRRA application, where along with that he sent in all the information of our spousal sponsorship as well. are you suggesting ROY i get a lawyer to help me with the spousal sponsorship process? is there anything different that can be done at this point? the application was sent to vegreville, and i can see online that our application was received in February and has been ´in process´ since march 24th.

Read the processing manual IP8 then pay close attention to the Appendix H and highlight page 36. Get familiar with the processing manuals and what the actual process is and then make a decision on what path to take.

Don´t fly by the seat of your pants. Bad idea.

I really hope that you did your research when you hired your lawyer. Most lawyers are not properly trained to deal with CBSA and the great majority are shreaded in pieces during the hearings.

You should get a professional to really check your in-land application (assuming you have copies of what you sent to CIC) and determine if your best option is to withdraw the application and get your husband to apply from outside of Canada.

Public Policy would require CBSA to defer your Removal/PRRA etc if you had submitted everything properly.
