This is an urgent appeal, I have noticed , people while entring the time line on this site, screw up the year like 2004 referred as 2003 or 2005 or so , please be little careful in entering data, they are so many people waiting for their immigration .... this is after all like playing with their emotions

Also, could people state whether they are skilled-worker class, family (spouse, parents..), etc. class? I Understand that a large # of people here are skilled-worker class, but for those who are not, it´s just a little confusing when we compare the timelines. Thank you

I have noticed "wannafly" is posting his status almost everyday with different timeline. My dear Chineese friend - please don´t use this site for fun - you are hurting people´s emotions.

Dude

I guess by staying on this forum we all have got some idea on timeline for at least Buffalo cases...

AOR comes appx 4-6 weeks from initial application date.
IA comes about 9 months from the AOR date.
Takes about 2-3 months to submit any or all docs asked + medicals.
Another 2-3 months and you get ROLF request or Passport Resquest.

In all 12-15 months for entire process...

So don´t get all that emotional dude...

one more thing, keep doing whatever you should do, I applied to skill worker in Nov 2004, no AOR yet. Tell you the truth, I am not hurry at all, because after I checked other people??s timeline, I am in reasonable period, then just work as usual, date as usual, go to Tuesday movie as usually, listen to 103.5 QM FM as usual.
As time goes by, actually surprise me it has already past 3 month, so fast.

I agree AOR is taking anywher from 8 to 16 weeks.

Yes, I would like to be very normal and just wait for the processing to happen , but when you are on a time constrait Visa , the time line does become an issue, though I completely agree it does not help to worry about it . ... but you know the human nature

Yogi´s site might be of some help if all data in there would be truthful , and I doubt that this is the case.
There are timelines in there where IA´s are coming BEFORE AOR´s.
It gives a rough indication though of what timelines might be. And it is puzzling that AOR´s at the Buffallo office used to take a couple of days and since July are taking 3-4 months.

I know, Buffalo needs to improve its processing times, it is annoying... they raised the fees in Dec, hope this will give them some extra money to hire more immigration officers

hey Brian. they did not raise the fees. The US dollar dropped in value against the Canadian currency. Before you pay your money, make sure you check the exchange rate. You might be better off buy XXXX in Canadian funds rather than paying the CIC set rate in US funds.

extra wait... still has to do with volume and quotas. Ironically this surge in wait time almost matches the timing of the US election. hmmmmmmmmmm.

Hi Sharon,
Well in Buffalo I decided to pay the fee in USD the site
has a set amount in USD so the applicants need not worry about the exchange rates...I agree the increase in volume is the main cause to delays...another reason is the reduced pass mark which has made more people including me to apply and ...which means higher volumes... US elections... hmmmmm
