Subject: Pregnant without health card
  Hallo to everybody…

I need some advice, regarding with this situation below…

I have a work permit visa and it is valid up to 2013, I spent one year in Saskatchewan and worked as a home-career, doing all the home jobs. During this period I paid all the taxes and had a health insurance card but now I moved to Montreal and last one month I am unemployed but I don’t want to go back in Saskatchewan. When I went to doctor I had to pay cash, seems my insurance card is not acceptable here. I am 3 month pregnant and I don’t know whom or where to apply, hence I am not married and I am alone here… Could you let me know what will be the best solutions in this situation…?

Hi Beka, so sorry to hear your problem. Well you´ll have to check with the service center in Montreal and ask about their health care program procedures. I am only familiar with Ontario health care requirement. You can check back on the Saskatchewan to see if they can cover your health coverage, regardless of your unemployment status. I know it is not possible in Ontario, but they can pay for your health coverage, since it states that in their procedure. So check back with your old province or the where you are now( Montreal). Good luck

your Saskatchewan coverage does not work in Quebec. You need to apply for coverage in whichever province you reside.
