Subject: AKI - PLS. RESPOND 2 THIS
  Hello Akiindian,

Saw yr response. Pls let me know of these consultants and how much do they charge ? This person whom i know wanted 2L. If u know for sure that these guys do get HRDC approved jobs then i wud definitely want to get in touch b´cos time is crucial. I don´t want to wait for 4 years. Since u applied from Delhi, wud u also hv an idea of how long it takes - my agent is telling me that it wud take anything between 9 to 18 months (but after seeing the posters on this forum - this seems to be a distant dream and all my planning has gone for a toss). Hv u got yr visa or are u still in the Q. Please respond as yr advice wud be of great help .....thanks.

I did not apply in India. My processing office is in Buffalo. I just hired a lawyer in Delhi who I know for last 2 years. He asked me Rs 25K and promised to file my case in Buffalo. He was so busy minting money from desperate Sardarjis that he delayed filing of my case by 4 months. I did some research online and offline about immigration consultants in Delhi. Those who will do A to Z for you ask for 1L to 1.5L. Check in Hindustan Times classified and there you will see one located in Greater Kailash, New Delhi. Their normal fee is Rs 55K but for this special service, they will charge you 1.5L. They will arrange HRDC approved job offer at the time of application and at the time of interview also. Still this whole process will take a minimum of 2-3 years in Delhi. I applied all by myself in Jan 2004 and now waiting for Passport request any day. I am in US.

HDRC approved job (in reply to: AKI - PLS. RESPOND 2 THIS)
This is what I understand about HDRC approved jobs and why you can come to Canada faster may be in nine months.
Once your job application is approved by HDRC you can get work permit to came and work for the company in Canada. In this case your PR application will be from inside Canada and the process will be faster then in New Delhi.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong.

Please get the agents references before you apply through one of them, as lot of them do not have enough knowledge and experience. Some of the people on this forum have more knowledge then these so called agents.

No money upfront. It´s always paid in installments. Like 25% upfront, 25% once u get HRDC approval, and 50% when u get passport request. I would suggest not to get into clutches of consultants. You are filing your case in India and this HRDC approval with just give you additional 10 points. What about processing time? You still have to wait for at least 3 years, so why waste your hard-earned money. Just do it your self. In the mean time do some online job hunting and get a genuine job offer from Canadian employer. You can submit it at later time and earn 10 extra points.

if you are looking for a fast way into Canada you need a Work Permit - not a PR. you can do your PR from within Canada later. Usually work permits come from companies recruiting or you find the employer yourself. Do not bother getting a job offer to earn you 10 points. the chances of that job still being there when your application is complete is very, very small. That provision is mostly there for those who are applying from within Canada.

For you Sharon (in reply to: AKI - PLS. RESPOND 2 THIS)
As you have stated not to go thru agents for finding the HRDC Validated Job offers, my case is the same like Michelle. I have also find my application on my own in Nov,03. Got my file number, Jan 04,AND GOT MY FILE NO IN DEC,2003. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN WAITING.

SOME CONSULTANTS SAY - THEY CAN SPEED UP MY PROCESS WITH THIS JOB OFFER NOW / GET IT VALIDATED, THEY SAY THAT AFTER THE VALIDATION COMES, UPDATE THE HIGH COMMISSION AND FILE WILL MOVE FROM NORMAL QUEUE TO PRIORITY QUEUE. INTERVIEW WILL BE WAIVED OFF, AND FOR THIS THEY ARE CHARGING ALMOST LIKE CDN $ 10 K.
SOME SAY - DO NOT TRUST THESE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO SAYS "THEY CAN DO IT" AS IT IS ABSOLUTELY FRAUD THING.

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO.
PLEASE ADVISE
