Subject: PR Renewal & Citizenship interview/test
  Hi all,

I have had useful feedback from this forum in the past, so I hope I can get some more this time:

1) I applied to renew my PR card, and I went to pick it up from CIC-St. Clair recently. Although I already supplemented my original application with full translations/certified copies of my passports, the interviewer did not like the fact that I did not have all the stamps upon entry into Canada (not really my fault, since sometimes they do not stamp your passport upon entry). He requested CBSA records for myself, although the employment letters I had cover more than 2yrs of residency.

2) I will proceed with his request. However, I have my citizenship test/interview at the same office in just few weeks, possibly before my PR thing is resolved, depending on CBSA´s processing timelines.

Does that mean I am destined to follow the ´Residency Questionnaire route´ for my citizenship application, because of this incident?

3) Is it true that the St-Clair CIC office is famous for being more strict and for issuing a lot of ´Residency Questionnaires´?

4) Its worth mentioning that I have included more detailed documents on proof of residency on my citizenship application (but not CBSA records), like OHIP records, Bank/Credit card statements, employment history, tax history. I had all of that with me at the PR-pick-up, but the guy was just hooked on the CBSA records, and raised doubts about the integrity of these documents.

5) I have no problem with my passports´ stamps or in what the CBSA records will show. But, I have been without a job now for over 1.5yrs, although I used to work at some reputable places before, and I am not sure how will that impact my image in their eyes.

Thanks for the feedback.

1) Where did he travel from? No exit or departure stamp? Get a CBSA record.

2) ´Residency Questionnaire´ and RCMP fingerprints are requested to the applicants who never traveled outside Canada.

3) By virtue of urban legend, maybe.

4) Its worth mentioning that I have included more detailed documents on proof of residency on my citizenship application (but not CBSA records), like OHIP records, Bank/Credit card statements, employment history, tax history. 5) Tell them you´re looking for a job.

Oh boy... are you in a huge mess? yes. Please let us know how it goes... I predict you will be in one heck of a nasty situation... Just BE HONEST in everything you say.... misrepresentation is already poking its ugly face.
