Hello, I am a US citizen working in canada under a TN visa (yay NAFTA!). It is coming time to think about renewing the visa and I am having a hard time finding straight forward documentation on how exactly this is done. Is it as easy as crossing the border again with letter from employer like when the visa was initially given? Or are there forms that are needed for renewal? Also, can one renew this type of visa prior to the original visa´s expiration? Say, 1 month in advance?
Any advice or information would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Believe it or not it is as easy as going to the border with original letter :))
I know some people they only cross the border for that :)

Hello, I´d like to know if applying for a TN visa for Canada is the same procedure like in the USA for mexicans (petition and once approved, get a visa at the consulate) if not what is it?
