Subject: Contract/Employment letter
Contract or "appointment letter" from one of my previous employers is 4 years old now. But, It includes all stuff like duties, sal etc and signed by HR manager. Can I use this and get it notarized by an attorney.Or should it be a new one?(the checklist says"uptodate" letters).
Also I have "reference letter" from that same company which is two years old.People who worked with me before, say my boss, is not there anymore. Can i use this old reference letter and give an explanation while submitting my forms? Please advice..Thankyou.

what they are looking for is continuity of employment. obviously some letters will be older and jobs will have concluded. I am not even sure I would bother having it notarized. how can it even be possible? do you have any employment records since that contract? Include them. They want work history and information beyond just your statement of fact to verify. Prepare your documents accordingly. Think like an immigration officer! (maybe not) Use common sense and you will do just fine.

Why don´t you get a new letter from your employer?

Anything older than 6 month is not valid (other than the medical) so please get a new letter from your employer if it is not possible then provide the explanation along-with some sort of proof that you are still working there.

Thanks
