Subject: Citizen abroad sponsoring a family
  Hi there,

I have two questions plz regarding sponsoring a family (Wife + 2 kids)

I´m a Citizen living outside of Canada and have a good income to sponsor as per the the CIC chart.

1- Which one is faster, to sponsor them while they are in Canada (as students) or to sponsor them while they are here with me? *Any idea of the time-line for In-Canada application*

2- What sort of proof the CIC will require to show that we will live in Canada when the sponsored person becomes a permanent resident?

Thanks a Lot

it will be tough to secure a student visa when it is abundantly clear you have residency intentions.

Also, you cannot sponsor them unless you can clearly demonstrate to CIC that you will be relocating back to Canada. That means a job, or a house etc.
