i have few doubts even after reading the guide.
i would appreciate if someone can help.

1.i am in US and planning to apply for the canadaian immigration.Do i need to submit the Police ceritificates and Medical records when intitially submitting the forms or submit when the visa office asks me to submit these?

2. Do i need to notarize my experience certificates and education documents or simple photocopies will work?

3. In the visa office specific forms for Buffalo.Item 2 (Identitiy and Civil Status documents) what do i have to submit? i am unmarried so do i need to submit anything?

4.for the proof of funds. what do i submit? is photocopy of bank statement of account enough or is more needed.

5. In one of the forms it asks for the ´Details of family members´.do i need to give details of my parents also. my parents are right now in india.is this applicable to only prople who are married and have children or does one have to give details of family and parents in india.

thanks

1- Police certificate is required at time of submission. However, sometimes they accept to open the file and you can submit it later. However, you have to do that ASAP not to delay your case. Medicals are only to be done when they ask you to do that.

2- Photocopies will do at time of submission. However, if they feel any problme they may ask for originals to see. In my case notarize was not required.

3- Your ID in USA and proof of your current status there.

4- Copy of Bank Statement for the last 6 month

5- Mother, Father, Sisters, and Brothers of yours.

Good LUck

thanks so much for the reply.

the family member details also requires photographs of family members.since my parents are in india do i have to fill this or can i leave this as blank.

also i read the guide. it says ´Do not request police certificate from US unless you are instructed to do so by visa office.what does this mean?

thanks again for the help.

Since you are single, there is no photograph required for your parents or siblings. You must be reading wrong information. You only have to provide the name, Date of Birth, and addresses for your family.

Also don´t submit Bank statement yet. Wait for them to ask for that. Photocopy will be fine unless they ask for original.

Thanks

Hi,
I am on the same page as yours ..the only difference being I am on work-permit in Canada :).

I am working for an indian company and right now at client´s site in Canada. So can I specify that I have a valid job offer in Schedule 3 form? My work-permit has the name of the client in canada and not my employer in india.

I have SIN issued by HRDC based on my work-permit

Thanks,
Rahul

just to clarify , so i should not submit police clearance and wait for visa office to ask for it?

Also the family details i am asking about is on page 2 of APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN CANADA.it asks for all details of family includign education and also has space for phtographs.do i need to fill this for my parents also give that they are in india and i am not applying for them.

Ams,

for family details, yes you have to state your direct family details. These are fatehr, mother, sisters, and brothers. It has nothing to do with their location or intention to immigrate. That is for background check. Photos are not required except for you.

CLEAR!!!!!!

ams: Are you applying under silled worker?you say you are applying from US.I am in the same boat. For police certifcates(in the checklist) it says"Do not get from Hongkong/Canada until you are instructed" and for US they have given the guidelines. Many people in this forum have advised to submit along with your application.just FYI...
