Subject: Need Help on work visa
  Hi,

I am a post graduate diploma in business Management (equivalent to MBA) from India. My majors were finance and HR. I have 1+ years of work experience in auditing and financial fields in India. I am current living in USA and want to move to Canada this year.
Please evaluate my position and guide me on how can i proceed further in the process of immigration to Canada.

Currently i am applying for jobs on job portals and companies´ sites (but got no response till now) so that company can sponsor me and i will have a job offer when i will land there.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

If you wish to immigration to Canada (i.e. move here permanently), then you´ll need to review the various immigration streams available and determine which ones you may qualify for.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp

If you would prefer that someone else evaluate your options and recommend what you should do, then I would recommend you hire an immigration consultant or lawyer.

If you wish to come to Canada on a temporary work permit, then you´ll need to find an employer first. That employer will then have to submit a Labour Market Opinion for approval (application to hire a foreign worker). As part of this process, the employer will have to prove that they advertised the job first and were unable to find a Canadian to fill the role. If the Labour Market Opinion (LMO) is approved, you can then apply for a work permit.

It will probaby be quite difficult for you to find a job offer in Canada. Many employers aren´t willing to hire foreign workers because they don´t want to go through the LMO process which takes time and can be refused. Also, since you only have one year of experience, it will probably be difficult for an employer to prove that they could not find a Canadian with your qualifications. The economy in Canada has slowed down somewhat which means there are more people looking for jobs. This means that it is even more difficult right now to find a job as a foreign worker and get an LMO approved in fields such as finance and technology/IT.

There is no easy way to find an employer. All you can do is keep visiting job portals and companies´ sites and applying for jobs. Hopefully you´ll get lucky.
