Should I submit IELTS scores?

Subject: Should I submit IELTS scores?
Should I submit IELTS scores although I have a high school and two university degrees from the United States? (English is technically not my first language, although practically it might as well be since I have been using it as a first language for the past seven years.)

I went ahead and wrote a letter explaining this when I sent my application, but now I am worried they won?t give the maximum points. Should I go ahead and pay the 130 Euros and take the test?

Also, can anyone give me a rough time line for ROME? First time posting, but this forum has helped a lot in the past. Thank you to all.

If you are confident about your English skills and you have submitted the evidance about your English skills then don´t bother. Save money you will need that in Canada :)

Take care

AJ:

If you fall short of the qualifying scores for immigration (67), and if the reason is because of your low score in English, then definitely they will ask you to take IELTS. I have come across several of these cases. So just relax, until you hear any thing from CIC.

Good Luck.

This is what you can do...

Right now write a letter explainign your adequate english language skills. After that... If CIC feels a need to see your english skills then they will ask you to submit your IELTS score otherwise you can just get by with rules.

Your study in US can fetch you full point in English language.

Good Luck,
HS

I have the same questions too.
Like what kind of evidence do they want? Just don´t fuck up my cases without notice.
Sorry to be rude. You know what? people like me, if they can??t describe something, they have to swear.

I submit, one letter indicated which level I claim, high. Second letter indicated my history of learning English.

At least 4---6 reference letters all from Canada, my professors, and employers. One is British Columbia Transportation Minister with his name card.

Photo took in CBC Radio Two studio; I am doing Sounds Like Canada program.

CRP, FIRST AID, DRIVER LICENCE (CLASS 4), appreciate certificate, transcripts in Canadian universities.

Just tell me CIC, what the hell do you still want? If they ask me to take examination, I gonna be so pissed off. We are full-time workers, who the hell has time to prepare that?
You wanna my income tax, you wanna me to pay examination bill too? No way. Do you think you CIC people have better IELTS scores than us? Do you think those people who can have high scores will have better living skills in Canada?

One suggestion, instead of IELTS, take CEPLIP in Vancouver, that´s much easier, But I boom written parts, can´t get high only that part.
So I didn´t submit transcript. I need 16 points to pass 67.
Actually wait until Aug, I got my whole full-year Canadian work experience I might far over 80 points something, if they asked me IELTS,I might submit CEPLIP scores.

Share some information about CEPLIP, exam is extremely easy if you have education in Canada before, Like elementary English. You have to register at University of British Columbia. They have all four parts, listening, writing, speaking, and reading. 3 hours, examination. I finished in 1hour and 50 min. I remember about 200 dollars something, you can give a shot.

Can someone advise me if taking on CEPLIP is a better option than IELTS? Which one needs least preparation time?

Thanks
