A TWIST IN THE STORY (in reply to: Family faces deportation to China) A similar article appeared around this time of year in 2008 in which a popular downtown sushi Chinese restaurant owner (he´d arrived in Canada 10 years before) gets to remain in Canada. His refugee claim was rejected, but his H&C was accepted due to the fact that his employees would lose their jobs if the owner was forced to close the restaurant. A spokeswoman mentioned in the article that the degree of establishment and ties to the community was essential to a positive H&C.

TUESDAY FRONT PAPER (in reply to: Family faces deportation to China) This article is most likely to appear in the Tuesday addition.
This appeared in the Sunday copy. A Japanese woman who claimed exposure to radiation from damaged nuclear reactors has been denied refugee status in Canada.

Agreed 100%.... Makes you wonder why Roy would lost this case.... There is absolutely no reason why this guy claim for refugee would be denied since there is a precedent... Looks like it´s a walk in a park case to me..... how he manage to loose it is a mystery to me....
