Good everyone,
I just need any advice or information about what my applications with CIC. I did applied for H&C application in September , 2010 and PRRA application in December of the same year. I applied through the old system. My H&C file was transferred to Vancouver from Vegreville last year January, 2010. In July last year, it was transferred to Montreal along with my H&C application. I understand that H&c application could take up to 20 months on average of processing period base on case by case. It been 14th months now since my H&C was transferred and 14th month since i applied for my PRRA application. I´m just getting worried just as human. The last time i called the call center, the agent told me that my files (both H&c AND PRRA) was transferred to Montreal in July of last year. Is the 20 month from January or from July that it was transferred?. I get a little bit confuse with the call center. One says from july and the other ones says is from January that is was transferred to Montreal. Regardless of that i just need any POSITIVE advice from you guys. My work permit and police check i did of recent went good. I´m still in school and working full-time as well.

The good news is that both H&C AND PRRA were transferred to a local immigration office in Montreal where an PRRA officer will assess the combined files and make a decision on them.
If there is a decision, the applicant is most likely to receive it in person such as at CBSA office 1010 Saint-Antoine St W.
That´s being approved in principle if ever approved.

Did immigration allow you to attend school!!!

Thanks for your response. I´m undergoing a practical nursing program. I did gave them all the document that i procured from the college when i registered and my school fees records. My grades,Admission letters and many more to show case my credibility. I´m just hoping that this will be a good news at the end. True patience is the key......

Did immigration give you A student permit while you are
waiting for H&C and PRRA.
Did you apply FOR STUDENT AUTHORIZATION or you just enroled
in school?

I came in as a refugee. I failed my claims. I applied for study permit ever before i failed my claims. So i´ve been renewing my work permit and study permit ever since then.

Just hang in there Stephen your time will come one day my H&C application took exactly 2.5 years to complete even though I feel like i was waiting 15 years.

hello i came to canada as a refugee and my claim was rejected,i later apply for the prra and got the results today that it was also rejected..im now working on humanitarian application,is it possible that i can apply for it and sent it in as my date of removal has not come? can i appeal my prra decision? what can i do?

You can apply for stay of removal. Get a legal adviser to help you out on this. If you really want to stay, then you have to act very fast.On a second thought;why didn´t you applied for H&C when you knew that your PRRA wasn´t going to fly high!!!. You can still apply for the H&C. Regardless of this, you can still be removed. Pending your date of removal, go ahead and apply for the H&c.When did you applied for your PRRA? When did you get your decision? How long does it take to get back to you from the original date that you applied. You don´t have anytime at hand.. ACT VERY FAST!!!!!....
