It turns out this immigration debacle that Canada inflicted upon itself has become a disruption on the part of a million applicants worldwide; In India, Canada is preparing to return the application fees and stall nearly half a million would be economic refugees!! Who would have known.

what they are proposing (and it is not a done deal yet, as the budget has not passed) is to stop stringing along people that applied before February 2008 under the old rules.
Now, that might make you angry that it is unfair, but so is waiting forever and then arriving to no appropriate employment.
So the notion that immigration is a money grab can end, and those that are waiting endlessly can get on with their lives.
Not the perfect solution but a solution none the less.
