Subject: Slow Processing in Buffallo
Does any one has any idea why buffalo is processing applications very slow. They were doing ok until july 2004 and after that its has slowed down. They have also taken out the link from their site which shows which applications they are processing. The last entry was June last year when they were processing applications recieved in October 2003. Any idea why its taking so much time now? I don´t think its due to strike. thanks guys

Please be patient. One of my friends received his IA Jan. 7, 2005. As I knew, his AOR date is June, 7 2004. I guess CIC should take care of AOR dated end of June 2004 so far.

As I know, it has a few reasons.
1.) different officers have their own processing timetable
2.) your scheduled date is later than the others
3.) your IA may lost

Have you got your CAIPS to see what´s happining in your case?

CIC is the busiest visa office in the world. The bastards of CIC, wherever their headquarters are, do not assign enough or additional immigration officers to satisfy their demand. No wonder why this consulate is one of the slowest ones.

Ozz, you do not make sense. Buffalo is not the central office for CIC. they are still working on a quota system and they process everything from sponsored partners to skilled workers to refugees. It is obvious that sponsored partners are a big part of Buffalo´s work load.

I do not make excuses for them - please do not misunderstand but there is still a quota system in place that everyone must live with. They project wait times on historic data. 60 days and a flood of applications can throw everything out the window. Complicated or incomplete files add time to the process, faxes demanding status reports add time to processing.

I know our tendency is to blame someone but I really don´t think there is some evil people in the Buffalo office getting their jollies out of making people wait.

Maybe we should talk about how bad Canada is so less people want to immigrate and the wait times will reduce. It is an option! I know you miss your family. It is obvious that the waiting is killing you. I hope and pray the waiting ends for you soon. If I could go and complete your file myself- I would
