Subject: marital woes
  Hi

My brother, married, with a 10 y.o. child is a landed immigrant in Canada. Before he decided to leave for Canada, his married life was unstable but decided to include his wife in the application hoping things will get better in their married life.

Just recently, he learned, that while he was busy preparing for his family´s application to Canada, his wife was busy involving herself in an extra marital affair which she admitted to my brother once they arrived in Canada.

The wife now is making preparations to sponsor her lover while financially dependent on my brother. The wife uses their child who my brother dearly loved to get her way.

Can my brother ask the CIC to cancel the immigrant status of his wife or what can he do to stop her from taking advantage of him?

I know my brother only wanted that their family is intact. Unfortunately, the wife has other agenda...

Any wise advice from the readers please..

Thank you...

Has your brother´s wife already landed in Canada? Is she a PR?

If so, there´s nothing he can do.

I believe under the newest set of sponsorship rules, she will have to wait 3 years to sponsor the new guy.
