I was going through the information provided on CIC¡¦s website and I have a few questions.
1) According to the Sponsorship Guide provided on the CIC website:
If you are a Canadian citizen, you may sponsor a spouse, a common-law partner or conjugal partner, or a dependent child who has no children of his or her own. However, you must demonstrate that you will live in Canada when the sponsored person becomes a permanent resident.
Note: Permanent residents residing abroad may not sponsor from outside of Canada. Canadian citizens travelling as tourists are not considered to be residing abroad.
QUESTION: Does this mean if I am a Canadian Citizen and a Permanent Resident who is currently residing and employing outside of Canada, I do not need to be employing or living in Canada during the application process since I am a "Canadian citizen"?
But how can I demonstrate I will live in Canada when my sponsored person becomes a permanent resident?
2) According to the CIC website:
In order to sponsor, you must¡K
prove that you have sufficient income to provide basic requirements for your spouse or common-law partner¡¦s dependent children. To do this, you must provide documents showing your financial resources for the past 12 months. This requirement applies only when dependent children who have dependent children of their own are included on the application.
QUESTION: If neither my spouse or I have any dependent children, is there still a minimum necessary income requirement which the sponsor would have to meet?

You can´t be both a Permanent Resident and a Canadian Citizen! Persons are granted PR status first and then after a period of time become Canadian Citizens.
Intent to return.
Prove that your enrolled in some post secondary course to start after the submission date or show an offer of employment to CIC that will start in a week or month after the application is submitted.
Pay your taxes and request an Option "C" even if your income is ZERO then prove that your partner will not have to depend on Social Assistance to survive in Canada IRPA 39.
There is NO minimum Income when sponsoring a spouse or dependent child but read IRPA secation 39 and show that alternatives to welfare have been arranged.

Thank you for your information. You have stated that my intent to return could be proven by my enrollment into some post secondary courses "to start after the submission date or show an offer of employment to CIC that will start in a week or month after the application is submitted." However, is this still feasible if my spouse and I are planning to reside or work outside of Canada "until" we receive a response from CIC?

Yes, as a Canadian citizen you may sponsor your wife from abroad and be with her until a decision on her PR is made.

Yes DocD is correct but in theory Income is not an issue when sponsoring a Spouse or dependent child but if your partner can not speak English or French and have little if any Occupational skills while your not working the chance of being refused by IRPA A39 is close to 99%
So show no intent to return and be refused. Your choice.

Are there any other ways that I could show my intent to return than enrolling into a post-secondary program or having a job offered before I submit my sponsorship application form? I do still pay my taxes, and still have rrsp in canada.

Does this apply for sponsorship of spouse and dependent children or not?
as we have been asked to submit cancellation of residency for my wife [who is canadian citizen and has sponsored us. It is not possible to move wihout her.
what should i do as my kids are 6, 3 and 2.
they ask for visa cancellation while submitting the passports for stamping of visa.
What to do
If anycone can help or suggest ?

I landed in Canada in july 2012 and I plan and get back to Iran and marry in december, I am a permenant resident. I don´t have a job right now so I am worried whether I am financially eligible to sponser my fiancee to Canada or not.
Please guide me to be prepared in advace.
