Subject: Should I move to Canada ?
  hello,
I am 32 years old, working as CHEMIST in a Public Sector University Research Center (Saudi Arabia) and the salary is almost 2300 CAD $. I have done Masters in Chemistry from Finland.
I got admission to a Master (Electro analytical Chemistry) from a University in Newfoundland. It is fully funded.

I am bit confused to go for it.
I wish to apply for PR after the completion of masters.
However, I am afraid of the following,
1. Would I be able to find a job after M.Sc?
2. What will be the chances to get PR?
3. Should I leave my current job and go for this adventure?
Please help me to decide................

Move, why not (in reply to: Should I move to Canada ?)
If you got funded to study you should go for it. Got your education and then you are free bird - you can go anywhere you want and like or stay in Canada. Peeps don´t how good and how hard it is in Canada. If you are smart there are many opportunities, if you are not you will start complaining on everything.

You can find the way or find an excuse.

A question for you:
where does getting that PHD would get you to in terms of money in Saudi Arabia? If you have that wage in Saudi Arabia and your main focus in life is to make money. Come, study and go back to Saud Arabia.. Here in Canada nothing guarantees that after your PHD you will get a better opportunity than in Saud Arabia. Please check in youtube the reality check of moving into Canada.
I wonder how old are you?
Canada is still a very racist country and in terms of who get the better piece of the pie, white people still do. I know that Sharon, Roy and Dog will try to say that I am negative but that is their business. Without naive immigrants like you they would not exist in this forum. You do not have it bad in Saudi Arabia considering the current world situation... Please do your own research and do not resort to this forum for advice as it is full of consultants that want to make money of better off immigrants like you.

Clarification (in reply to: Should I move to Canada ?)
what I meant by better off is not that you are super wealthy, but at least you do not come from a country where 300 dollars a month is the average montly wage.

Thanks Vitorelli (in reply to: Should I move to Canada ?)
Thanks Vitorelli
1. I am 32 years Old.
2. I have already done Masters in Chemistry.
3. The only problem with my current job is that it is a contract.Once the contract is over, I have to leave Saudi Arabia.
4. I want to do another M.Sc. only to get PR and with hope that once I get PR , I may find a job here or there.

Then! (in reply to: Should I move to Canada ?)
For what I understand is that that your studies in Canada will be fully funded. Well, if that´s the case, it would not hurt you to come. Many canadians have to get in debt to pay for their studies. I am not sure how things work in your field but If you get a Master´s from Canada it would definetely help you to get a decent paid job in here. I do not know about accreditations in your field but since you are going to be studying in Canada, things should be less difficult for you. Perhaps you can acquire some canadian work experience while studying. Good luck in your move!
