Subject: divorce and re marriage in less than 6 months in d
Hi can someone tell me if it would be a problem with the canadian immigration regarding an old law in the dominican republic. They have a law that states that a divorced woman must wait 10 months before she can remarry. This can be waived by the judge. Mine was waived and i have started the process to bring my husband to canada. I am 50 yrs old so that was the reason it was waived, this law is in case the woman was pregnant by the ex-husband. I was recently asked about this and thought i would post it and see what response i would get. I would appreciate replies from some one who had theirs waived and the process was completed without incident. thanks

To All

I waited for another to answer this post but it just never happened.

Okay common sense.

If your previous marriage was legal and your divorce was legal they are legal and will be recognized by CIC.

Now will your Spousal Sponsorship be approved or questioned? It depends on many factors including how soon you get married after your divorce and what evidence you submit.
