Hello (in reply to: I'm filipino citizen and married a Canadian)
Hi Meary,

While file your spouse visa to an another country, your previous spouse visa does not matter. you can apply visa for US.

What is this a sick attempt at character assassination????

Posting incorrect information and putting my name on it?

@ Meary

Regulation 11 requires you to submit your Spousal application at your own Visa Post or in another countries Visa post if you were admitted to that country legally for one year and currently reside there.

The worst of all is that Jade Immigration doesn´t even understand English.

Meary is asking "is it possible for us " and Jade Immigration is answering "you can apply visa for US. "

Jade Immmigration:
us = we as a couple
US= United States of America

Meary,

Follow Roy´s (cvimmigration) advise. Forget about Jade Immigration.

thanks for the advice, but still dont get it.. This is the real story . I´m going to Singapore soon for a work and will probably stay there less than a year so my husband wants to process our spouse visa before I fly to Singapore . Is that possible? are they going to ask my passport? I mean is there any certain time that i can send my passport to the Canadian embassy? although im in Singapore? I dont think that embassy should keep my passport while were processing our spouse visa for 6-9 months..

What can you not understand?

IRPR http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/page-6.html#docCont

Place of application for permanent resident visa

11. (1) An application for a permanent resident visa — other than an application for a permanent resident visa made under Part 8 — must be made to the immigration office that serves

(a) the country where the applicant is residing, if the applicant has been lawfully admitted to that country for a period of at least one year; or

(b) the applicant´s country of nationality or, if the applicant is stateless, their country of habitual residence other than a country in which they are residing without having been lawfully admitted.
